Colombia allocates US$435 million for the development of the primary PES frigate


The Colombian Navy (ARC) has assigned US$435 million to Cotecmar for the development of the primary frigate of the PES (Strategic Floor Platform) program, a undertaking for which the Colombian public shipyard signed an settlement with the Dutch agency Damen.

Based on the schedule, the chopping of the primary sheet of the longer term ship is scheduled for July 2023 and the keel laying inside three years, in December 2025. The Navy expects to finish the development of the 5 frigates in this system in December 2032.
